With no artificial colors or fragrances, Bean Essence has a natural golden hue and no pungent aroma. It is safe for sensitive skin, which is a welcomed aspect, as I’ve been known to have reactions to certain skincare products.
My first impression of the texture had me second-guessing if this was secretly made with snail mucin. The thick, tacky, formula resembles the snail mucin so perfectly, it makes for the perfect alternative if you’re looking for a comparable texture. The golden, viscous serum sticks and pulls when you begin to pat it into the skin, but quickly starts to absorb, leaving a smooth, silk-like finish. I find that a lot of serums that start tacky feel tight on the skin, Bean Essence, however, leaves a softness without any tightening.

While I love the exfoliating properties, I prefer to use Bean Essence as a part of my daily routine. It leaves such a lasting hydration feeling on my skin that I want to hold on to the feeling longer. To use it daily as a hydrating essence, apply it to your skin last before a cream product.
